Enchanted trip

Last January 30th, we were able to push through our plan to celebrate my hubby's birthday at the Enchanted Kingdom. It's was a post celebration, indeed,  but that did not matter. It was also so timely that my son kept on asking us to go to the Disneyland in the past few days. We always tell him that it might happen in time but not too soon. Of course, we have to consider the expenditures. Aside from that, since he's only about 3 years old, he might not remember the good times he may experience in Disneyland. Maybe at least when he's 5 years old already, he'll truly enjoy, remember and do "show and tell" the fun that he'll go through by then.
Before we head to Enchanted Kingdom, we heard mass to say our thanksgiving prayers. Then we visited our soon to be new abode in Carmona, Cavite. We checked the house construction and it's not even 5% constructed yet. But , at any rate, we saw progress from the equity we are paying since last year. After the house visitation,we had our lunch in Mcdonald's.

At about 3pm, we've finally arrived on the Wizard's castle (as what my son called it). Expectedly, mass visitors during weekends. But we were able to get in after 15 minutes of lining up for the tickets.

We had no chance to take our family picture with the Wizard's Statue, aside from there were so many people waiting for their turns, we had no one to do it for us.
Here are some of the highlights in the park:

After the Fireworks presentation, we decided to go home. Then when we were about to take the last picture inside the park, someone approached us and asked: " Do you want me to take a picture of your family?", and of course I answered her without hesitation, and said : " I was actually looking for someone to take a picture of us". She was so kind and God-sent, we thought that we wouldn't had the luck to have our family picture inside, and here it is:

And as always, long trips are very tiring but you tend to overcome it when you spend it with your loved ones and seeing them happy paved away all the  pain and stress of long trips.

At his best on his 31st

We celebrated my husband's birthday in two parts. Pre-celebration took place in our simple abode on the 16th in time for the feast of Sto. Nino. It was a simple celebration which tested my stamina in cooking and food preparation. I prepared my signature spaghetti, garlic bread, Bulalo. lumpiang shanghai, and Leche flan.
Unfortunately, this was taken during snack time and other dishes were only prepared over dinner.

Yesterday, 17th January, was my husband's actual 31st natal day. This was my gift for him, a Starbucks tumbler.

Then we went to the mall to play, stroll, shop and eat. We were supposed to go to the Avilon Zoo or Enchanted Kingdom but Kyle's condition did not allow us to go in any where of these places. As we usually do during special occasions, we go to nice places that we don't normally visit and go through.  Going to the mall is just an ordinary family field day for us because anytime we want to visit  the mall, we can. Since malls here in our place are just minutes away from our house. In fact, we can choose from small to classy malls. These are some of the pictures we took in Mall of Asia.

Nevertheless, we still had fun on my husband's special occasion. I realized that it's not about the place, it's about how we celebrate our loved one's special day for as long as the people you want to be with on that special occasion are complete.

New year!

Happy 2011! I don't have any resolution, it's like a promise that "always"  remains a promise.  I only have a wish, and that is  a better year than the last one. Although 2010 had been very good to me compared to 2009( it was a hell year to me), I wish that 2011 will be far way better than 2010. I don't expect much, I know I have to do my part as well. To start of, I must keep on updating my blog. :)

Cheers to the new year!!! :)
God bless us all!

Birthday Blues

At exactly 2 days from now, I'm officially out of the 20's bracket. If only my age stops at 27, I would be glad to be in that way. Just a thought: being young is so exciting , full of adventures and the best part is: always  looking fresh. I don't know but young people are very playful although some don't take life so seriously, they still tend to be happy and party alongside with their problems. Unfortunately, most of the suicidal cases are in the category of the "young ones". On the other note, Being mature and growing old makes life wonderful and comfortable, because the life challenges are now easy to handle. Some well-experienced people could still sleep and laugh with their troubles. Worst part is, getting wrinkles, illness and unwanted marks of an old individual. So what must I choose, to stay young forever, or  grow old? such a silly question with obviously one answer - I actually have no choice! I will grow old whether I like it or not.

Now birthday blues are here again. I always have this just before I celebrate my birthday. Like now, I feel so sick! I have dry cough, sore throat, i feel dizzy and like I always want to vomit...  I hate it!  Sometimes it ruins my birthday plans. I don't know if this is just a coincidental happening or it just really happens. But why does it always come before my birthday? Strange isn't? I remember I started having this when I was in high school. I just hope that I am not being tricked by my witch enemy, well just a thought if I have one.

All I can do now is to pray. Pray that I could get through this before my birthday comes. It's not  because  it will only  ruin my birthday plans but because I'm considering that I have a little buddy that might caught it as well.

Back to blogging

I'm back and it has always been nice to be back. Tons of adventures happened in the past from the last blog I had. I can't write it here anymore because I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna ran out of time telling about it.

BER month has started, it's here and I can now feel my favorite season of the year, the Christmas season. But wait, I must celebrate first my 30th year on earth. Yes I'm 30 and 30 years wiser. I have no regrets about the wrongs that I've done in the past 29 years of my life, but instead, these mistakes are going to be my tools for the next years ahead of me.

Ok now, what to do on my birthday? Just a simple celebration. On the day itself, I shall visit the church to say my thanksgiving prayers, then a delightful dinner with my family. Extension of my celebration will be on the Saturday and Sunday of my birthday week. And it's going to be in a waterpark resort at AMANA in PAndi Bulacan. My kid would surely love and enjoy that.

So many blessings, so many things to thank for. All I owe to God. You never failed to lift me up during my down moments. My faith has never changed, instead, it's still growing much stronger as Your life trials come by.

My Son turns 2

My family just got back from a tiring yet fun outing last April 6 to 7,  in celebration of Kyle's second birthday.  We went to the beach for a swim since Kyle hasn't experienced salt water swimming (yet) and also to grant his daily requests to go to Miming (his term for Swimming). Kyle loves water so  much. He enjoys playing in the water with his Thomas and friends, rubber duckies and animal squirters. He can even tolerate coldness of water in his own pool and he doesn't care at all. I was actually planning to enroll him in a swimming class this early but my husband refused to do it. According to him, he's not capable yet. Although, I know and heard that some babies are enrolled in this sport as early as 1 year old. My hubby added : "let Kyle enjoy water in his own way and not through somebody else's way". He could have his swimming lessons as soon as he starts his primary schooling. And so, I just agreed with him.

Going back to the mini swimming party of Kyle, we went to Nasugbu, Batangas where it's known and popular for nice beaches and resort hotels. We found a 3-star resort from the internet, very cheap room rates and not so strict with the house rules. The resort's name is El Cacar.  From a 3-hour drive, we arrived in the resort at 6 pm. We planned to swim that night but since all of us were tired from the long trip, we have decided to just swim in the morning the next day. Since it was a weekday getaway, we thought that there will be no other guests to occupy the place as also advised by the resort owner, that we were the only guests on her schedule.  And guess what, we were all wrong. Unexpectedly, the resort became just like it's weekend schedule. Nevertheless,  I'm glad that the owner is so kind to let us use the tables in front of our rooms for free. Just perfect to put up our balloons and birthday banner for the celebration. It's a simple decoration, just to make Kyle feel that it was his birthday that day. :)

At 6:00 am of April 7,  Kyle woke up everybody in the room. I was so surprised to see him sitting down on the bed and watching all of us asleep. And because the baby was awakened, everybody had to get up that early too. It seems like Kyle knew that there was something to celebrate,  it was his occassion and that he had to wake up early because it's going to be a long, long day for him. At 7:00 am, we went to the nearby church, at St. Francis Xavier Parish. Since there were a lot of visitors in the resort, we planned not to bring our car to reserve it's parking slot, so we rode a tricycle instead. Another first time in Kyle's list, riding a tricycle. So we took a picture of him while he was inside.

After our thanskgiving prayer, we went back to the resort and started cooking,  put up the decors, and of course splashed out the water. When Kyle stepped his feet on the sand for the first time, it was like an amazing feeling and he was just so happy.

Then his much awaited swimming began,

Seeing Kyle happy on his birthday was a fulfillment for all of us. Everything that Kyle expressed during his birthday were priceless. He can't express himself well verbally (yet),  but we felt his contentment and happiness  through his babytalks, acts and gestures.

Our Kyle is growing up so fast. My only wish for him is to be healthy and safe always. And I want him to become just like his dad. A very kind and loving person. To give credit to the people behind the mini party of Kyle, I posted a picture of them:

Deep in my heart, I thanked them so much for making Kyle's simple birthday celebration a memorable one..... to us and most especially to Kyle.

Birthday fun, fun, fun!

My family and I attended a kiddie birthday party of our friend’s unica hija last Sunday (03-21-10). Sam just turned 1. There were plenty of games, yummy foods, unbelievable magic tricks, and nice giveaways stored. Of course, our little kyle enjoyed the party most. Even if he was not able to participate in the games, he’s just turning 2, he enjoyed the party with all those balloons and and playful kids scattered in the place. He giggled, danced, ran in every corners and play with other kids of his  age.

Aside from the kiddos, the adult guests also had fun watching their kids play and win games. It’s so nice to see old friends and acquiantances back in college. Almost all of us have already angel/s of our own, which I have never imagined when we were studying with all those crazy electronics stuff that we could experience these moments in our lives. It’s so heartwarming. I just hope that we could see more often, for this is just a start of a new chapter in each of us. It was sad for we had to leave early as planned. We had to hear and get to the last mass schedule in SM Megamall chapel. But we were not fortunate though, we were late and we cannot get in due to the massive catholics inside. Worst part was, we were not able to finish the entire ceremony. Sorry God.  I just prayed for my family and thanked God for the blast my family had the whole day.
