Discipline 101

It really bothers me thinking about this: is there a superbook that could teach me how and answer my questions about the right way to discipline a growing child? I have already sought help from other mothers, browsed books in bookstores and searched it over the web. In fact, Mr. Google had been tired of pulling out the same useful and unuseful sites and information over and over. But it did not give me all the stuff that I need. Although it helps a little, these are not enough. Am I just missing somethnig about discipline 101? Should I just follow what my instincts tell me? Are these books and other guides are just to good to be true? I don't know. According to Kyle's doctor, a child starts to develop his freewill and attitude as early as 1 yr old up to his 5th yr. It's the critical stage of a person's development. Maybe I'll just continue to follow my own "mother's instincts". After all, it would be my great accomplishment in life.

Birthday fun, fun, fun!

My family and I attended a kiddie birthday party of our friend’s unica hija last Sunday (03-21-10). Sam just turned 1. There were plenty of games, yummy foods, unbelievable magic tricks, and nice giveaways stored. Of course, our little kyle enjoyed the party most. Even if he was not able to participate in the games, he’s just turning 2, he enjoyed the party with all those balloons and and playful kids scattered in the place. He giggled, danced, ran in every corners and play with other kids of his  age.

Aside from the kiddos, the adult guests also had fun watching their kids play and win games. It’s so nice to see old friends and acquiantances back in college. Almost all of us have already angel/s of our own, which I have never imagined when we were studying with all those crazy electronics stuff that we could experience these moments in our lives. It’s so heartwarming. I just hope that we could see more often, for this is just a start of a new chapter in each of us. It was sad for we had to leave early as planned. We had to hear and get to the last mass schedule in SM Megamall chapel. But we were not fortunate though, we were late and we cannot get in due to the massive catholics inside. Worst part was, we were not able to finish the entire ceremony. Sorry God.  I just prayed for my family and thanked God for the blast my family had the whole day.

Thank God! I have my own Blog site!  I actually had this account since 2006, but it was just about creating a blog account without doing anything on it. Imagine, it took me 4 years to post my first blog here!  Although, I had several attempts to post something on my blog, everything were just good attempts. It didn't push through. Now, its about time that I share my thoughts and feelings, explore my writing skills and document my journey in life. 

I thank blogger for keeping this account still under my liability, I'm so grateful that I'm still able to use my nickname as my blog's domain. I guess they really kept this in their "non-active" file so I will have no choice but to use them. I have tried setting up several blogs from other sites, first rule was: "use my nickname as the domain" but I was not happy, I did not succeed in doing it. I thought, my urge in starting up a blog will be put into waste coz my first rule is not happening. I have actually forgotten that I had one already with blogger. Then I tried searching badet. And as soon as I opened the page, there's something on the wall that gave me flashbacks about one of the blogs that I had setup  before and abandoned after, and presto!!! it's mine! I remember it was mine! So what can I say, blogger wins! :) 


 I salute those who find blogging a very nice way in expressing thoughts especially to my friends who already started doing this for quite a while, they inspired me, really. I’m so amazed on how they expressed themselves in writing through blogging. I want to be like them as well.  I love reading blogs, which I hope to express my own too.  I'm crossing my fingers now, I hope what I have started here will last until my hands get unusable.
